Obituary for Sgt. James William "Double J" Jestadt

Sgt. James William "Double J"  Jestadt
After living a rich and happy life, James passed away peacefully at the Hamilton General Hospital, on Monday, August 22, 2016, at the age of 66. Predeceased by his beloved wife Linda (2009). Loved father of Christopher (Christine) and Heather Pagoada (Juan). Cherished grandfather of Emerson and Hudson. Loved brother of Leona Saj (the late Walter) and Tom (Tannis). Predeceased by his brother Robert and Paul (survived by Shirley). James will also be missed by many nieces and nephews. We will all miss his wisdom, love and generosity. His courage and bravery was inspirational. James dedicated 40 years to police work with the RCMP and WSIB. A special thanks to Dr. Richard Whitlock and his staff of the Hamilton General Hospital for their care and compassion. Cremation has taken place. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Saturday, August 27, 2016 from 12 noon until time of Service of Remembrance 1 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel. Reception to follow. Interment to take place at a later date at Burlington Memorial Gardens. For those who wish, donations in memory of James to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
