Obituary for John Peacock
PEACOCK, John
(1940-2016)
Passed away peacefully on July 26th with his wife and family by his side. Much loved husband of Patti for 52 years. Loving Father of Barry (Jennifer Starzynski), Andrew (Joanne) and Julie (Ian) Hall. Beloved grandad to Adrienne, Melanie, Nate, Cooper, Rya, Daniel and Zoe. Special thanks to the staff at the Village of Tansley Woods for all of their compassionate care.
John was born in England and lived in Poland for 3 years before finally moving to Canada in 1979 and settling down in the Toronto area. He loved golfing, cycling, art and had a passion for music particularly enjoying going to see the Toronto symphony. He travelled extensively and enjoyed meeting new people and was always curious about their stories and their lives. And from time to time could be found enjoying a nice glass of Johnny Walker Red.
Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant Street, Burlington (905-632-3333), on Thursday August 4th from 7:00 – 9:00 pm and a Service of Remembrance on August 5th at 1:00 pm with reception to follow. For those who wish, donations in memory of John to Acclaim Health (www.acclaimhealth.ca) would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
