Obituary for Sam Piercey

Sam  Piercey
Passed away peacefully after a courageous battle surrounded by family at Juravinski Hospital on Monday July 25, 2016, at the age of 64. Devoted husband of Diane for 45 years. Loving father of Joe (Kate Tapley) and Sam Jr. Beloved grandfather to Joey, Jimmy, Taylor, Samantha and Gavin. Predeceased by his parents Joe and Maisie (nee Fasullo) Piercey. Sam will be greatly missed by his family; sisters Lorrie (Don), Debbie (Carlo) and Cathy (Bill), his father in law Oscar (Jacquie) Desrochers, his mother in law Irene Meehan, brother in law to Lisa, Richard (Martha), Ray (Tina) and Leona, and the Duval Family of Penetanguishene, his godparents Mary Ann and Joe Finelli and his aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Diane appreciates all the love and support her sons Joe and Sam have shown her and Sam throughout the years. “We have 2 amazing sons whom we are very proud of. Thank you both for being there for us. What would I do without you?”
Thank you to Dad and Jacquie for their loving support and prayers and Sam`s sisters for all their continued help and support.
Sam was an amazing husband, father and grandfather who was passionate about everything he did. He loved to socialize, and lived life to the fullest. Sam was always there to help everyone and would share his opinions and provide constructive criticism to help those he cared about succeed. He was the life of the party, full of laughter and loved his dogs Bobbie and Rosie. He was our leader and to many he was the boss.
Sam loved his job as General Manager of Budd’s Collision. He was considered to be an icon in the collision industry, renowned for his knowledge, experience and innovation.
Special Thanks to Darryl, Terry and Chris Budd, Brent Bere and J.R. Martino along with their wives, the staff at Budds Collision and all the Budds dealerships for their support and encouragement.
Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Thursday from 2 - 5 and 6 - 9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Friday, July 29, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. Cremation to follow. For those who wish, donations in memory of Sam to a memorial fund to be set up in his name, would be sincerely appreciated by the family.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to "The Sam Piercey Foundation" in memory of Sam Piercey to help fund the education of youth in the Collision Repair Industry.Make cheques payable to: The Sam Piercey Foundation c/o Budds Collision, 2071 South Service Rd. W, Oakville, ON L6L 5V6
