It is with deep sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved Margaret Jean Ingram (nee Hovey) who passed away May 19, 2016 in her 95th year. She was predeceased by her husband of 68 years Robert James (2011). Marg cherished her family and will be dearly missed by her loving daughters Sheryn Jefferies (John) of Orillia and Julie Brethour (Rick) of Toronto. She was the adored Nanny of grandchildren David (Andrea), Kristin (Patrick), Kathryn, Amy (Darrin), Stephanie (Adam), Shauna (Mike) and great-grandchildren Bella, Tegan, Ross, Aria, Caitlynn, Ava, Sadie. She was predeceased by her sister Elizabeth Savage (2014). Marg grew up in Toronto but Burlington was home for most of her life. She was a long-time member of Port Nelson United Church and a volunteer at Maple Villa for over forty years. Marg treasured her many friends, some of whom were from childhood. Marg’s positive and loving nature touched everyone around her. The family wishes to thank the staff of Birchmere in Orillia and Martha’s Landing in Burlington for their compassionate care. Visitation at Port Nelson United Church, 3132 South Drive (at Rossmore), Burlington on Thursday June 2nd at 1pm until the Celebration of Life at 2pm. Reception to follow. If desired, memorial donations to the charity of your choice and photos and stories of Marg would be sincerely appreciated.
