Passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family on Saturday, April 30, 2016 in her 71st year. Beloved wife of Pasquale for 40 years. Devoted mother of Lou Silvestri and his wife Carrie, and Rita Mamone and her husband Tony. Loving Nonna of Carina, Gianluca, Lucas, Sienna, and Christian who were the joys of her life. Predeceased by her parents Salvatore and Carmela Romano and her mother and father-in-law Giuseppe and Clotilde Silvestri. Survived by her sisters-in-law Concettina and the late Gino DiFonte, and Elsa and the late Pietro Celani. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 454 Highway #8 (east of Millen Road) STONEY CREEK (905-664-4222) on Wednesday from 2-5 and 6-9 p.m. Prayer Vigil at 8:30 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church, 934 Highway #8, Stoney Creek on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at 10 am. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a donation to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
