HENDERSON, Barbara (nee Bush) -

Passed away peacefully, with family by her side, at The Carpenter Hospice, Burlington, on Wednesday, February 10, 2016, at the age of 78. Predeceased by her beloved husband Bob Henderson (2001). Dear mother of Barry Henderson (Carol Orr), and Kathy Henderson. Proud grandmother of Jennifer Henderson. Predeceased by her sister Lillian Matthews. Barb will also be missed by many extended family and friends both in Burlington and in Port Dover. She was a founding member of the Port Dover Lioness Club and was a very active member of both the Burlington and Port Dover communities. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Sunrise of Burlington and The Carpenter Hospice for the excellent care that Barb received. Visitation will be held at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON, (905-632-3333), on Monday, February 15, 2016 from 5-8pm, where a Service of Remembrance will be held in the chapel on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at 1pm. Reception to follow at the Funeral Home. Private Cremation has taken place. Interment at Burlington Memorial Gardens at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Barb’s memory to The Carpenter Hospice would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
