DOYLE, Samuel Raymond

Passed away at Joseph Brant Hospital, Burlington on Sunday, February 7, 2016 at the age of 92. He was a loved and loving husband whose courtship and marriage to Phyllis (Cline) spanned more than 70 years. Samuel was the proud father of Kathy (Conway) and Robert and his late wife Ursula. He also leaves the joy of his life, his granddaughter, Teresa. He was deeply saddened by the untimely death of his other beloved daughter, Patricia in 1983. Also survived by his brother, Frank and many nieces, nephews and their families. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brothers, Vincent, John and sister Mary O'Brien. During WWII he served as a Navigation Officer with the rank of Flying Officer in the RCAF. Samuel retired after many years of service from Westinghouse Canada. Special thanks to the Drs., nurses, staff and caregivers for their love and support. Private cremation to take place. A Memorial Gathering to Celebrate Samuel's life will be held at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333) on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 from 3-5 p.m. For those who wish in lieu of flowers memorial donations to The Good Shepherd Centre would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
