It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Armando at the West Lincoln Memorial Hospital on Saturday, January 30, 2016 in his 76th year. Beloved husband of 50 years of Gabriella (nee Scattolon). Devoted father of Paul (Elisa), Mark (Christine) and Stephen (Tina). Dear nonno of Taylor, Adrien and Camille. Dear brother of Bert (Heidi) Beraldo, the late Iolanda (the late Bruno) Camporese, Louis (Miranda) Beraldo, Giannina (the late Santo) DiDone, Sergio (Grazia) Beraldo and Maria (Franco) Lucato. Dear brother-in-law of the late Danny Scattolon and Frank (Karen) Scattolon. Predeceased by his parents Alvise and Rosa Beraldo, and his in-laws, Guido and Victoria Scattolon. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives in Canada and abroad. Armando was a first generation Italian immigrant who was proud of his heritage. He was an extraordinary hard working, generous, good and loving man who enjoyed his family above all else. He was a dedicated husband and father who was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Armando enjoyed watching his grandchildren (Adrien) playing hockey and (Camille) playing soccer. He had a very special place in his heart for his granddaughter Taylor. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 454 Highway #8 (east of Millen Road) STONEY CREEK (905-664-4222) on Tuesday from 1:30-5 and 6-9 p.m. with a Prayer Vigil 6:30 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church, 934, Highway #8, Winona on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Taylor Beraldo Trust Fund, a cause close to Armando's heart, would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
