Obituary for Gavino "Dino" Rozza

Peacefully called to Heaven, surrounded by his family at McNally House Hospice on Friday, November 20, 2015 at the age of 75. Dearly loved husband of Maria for 47 years. Cherished father of Angela Rea (Tony), Teresa Cappella (Vince) and Ginette Bozzo (Francesco). Missed by his grandchildren who were his true pride and joy in life; Melissa, Tia, Sabrina, Vinnie, Anthony and Emily. Beloved brother-in-law of Frank Carchidi (Sandra) and many sisters and brothers-in-law in Italy. Special uncle of Michael Alfieri, Tina Alarie, Angela Maiolo and their families. Dino will also be missed by many cousins in Hamilton and Italy. A sincere thank you to Dr. Richard Scott, Nurse Dawn and the staff of McNally House Hospice for their care and compassion. A special thank you to Dino's niece Tina Alarie for her loving care and support. Visitation at STONEHOUSE-WHITCOMB FUNERAL HOME, 11 Mountain Street, GRIMSBY (905-945-2755) on Sunday from 3-5 and 6-9 p.m. with Prayer Vigil 3 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 135 Livingston Avenue, Grimsby on Monday, November 23, 2015 at 10 a.m. Interment Our Lady of the Angels Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions to McNally House Hospice would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
