Obituary for Joyce Fleming (Upshall)

FLEMING, Joyce Lorraine (nee Upshall)

Gently passed into the arms of Jesus on Thursday, July 24, 2014. Predeceased by loving husband, Robert, and parents Dr. Harry and Lottie Upshall. Joyce will be dearly missed by children Mary, Margaret (Glen Parsneau), Sheila (David Yori), and David (Brenda Fairchild-Green). Cherished grandmother of Michael, David, Alexandra, Amelia, Erin, and Thomas. She is also survived by sisters, Glee (Rev. William) Jones, Marilyn (Kevin) O’Connor, and five nephews – Llewellyn, Victor, Steven, Paul, and David. An accomplished and respected rose hybridist and certified horticultural judge. Joyce maintained contact with rosarians worldwide and was recently recognized for 50 years of membership in the Grimsby Garden Club. Deep appreciation by the family to the caring ICU and EU staff at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital. A Funeral Service will be held at STONEHOUSE-WHITCOMB FUNERAL HOME, 11 Mountain Street, GRIMSBY (905-945-2755) on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. Reception to follow. Private interment. If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations to The Nature Conservancy Canada, or World Vision Canada would be greatly appreciated.
