Thank you for being mine - our love story

Loosing Brock has been the hardest and most confusing time I have every been through in my entire life. Brock truly gave me the most wonderful two years of my life, as he was my boyfriend. Brock and I met through a mutual friend, and he asked me to his prom. I had been asked to prom a few times before but always felt uncomfortable because i was younger so always said no, though when Brock asked me it was an easy yes. Brock was the most charming boy in the world. I had not really known him well so we decided to meet up and hangout before hand to "break the ice"... i invited him to my friends party , when he arrived he dropped his beer on the ground because he was so nervous and didn't have anything to drink at the party so we decided that we were going to leave and walk down by the lake. From there is when we started to fall in love and the lake soon became something that became a huge part of our relationship. We shared many walks the following summer along the lake, played frizbee, went to the beach and romantic night rides along the sunset in his boat. The day he officially asked me to be his girlfriend was at spencer smith park along the lake. We were laying on the grass talking and he says to me " so... chanel ... i kind of really like you ... alot ... will you be my girlfriend?" in his quirky voice. Obviously i said yes, and from that day on I was his and he was mine. Brocks prom was great, I was so happy to be his date and his friends were very welcoming he was very respectful and got me home on time as well. Little did I know he would be in my life for the next two years and would be a part of my prom as well. Brock asked me to my prom by taking me for breakfast and getting the waitress to spell out " p r o m" in whipping cream on my waffles and also brought me flowers and a card. It was very adorable considering the effort he put in to ask me so special even though we had been dating for so long. That was just the type of guy he was. Brock was very romantic. For our "three month anniversary" he took me horse back riding and then later surprised me with roses, and a home made dinner in his bedroom that he organized into a restaurant , he even made a CD with romantic songs that he knew i liked. He always new how to make me smile and constantly did little things like leaving roses or treats on my bed and cards and notes. I have an entire box of cards and roses from him that i kept. In addition for our first valentines day he dressed up his entire apartment with tea light candles and made the night very special. I spent every single day with brock, he was extremely generous with his time. We did little things like crafts or goign to the thrift store, eating different cuisine, rollerblading doing homework at brock...going to the movies or just laying around and spending time together Ive traveled with brock we went on a couples trip to Cancun , ive gone on a skiing trip with his family and he has come on many trips with min and I have lived with brock. \These are memories I will never forget. Brock was also the life of the party, when brock moved out and lived on his own we would through parties at his house. One time we had a themed cow boy party and brock wanted it to feel like a real barn so we went and stole hay and corn from local farms , haha he was truly wild and so much fun to be around.. he was really a one of a kind guy and there will never be anybody like him. My family loved him as a son and I loved him with all my heart. Its really hard to sum up two years of our life with just one short story, but i will never forget what a beautiful soul brock was ... Brock tought me how a girl should be treated and i will settle for nothing less. Rip sweet angel I hope you can here my songs and my thoughts. - Chanel Kutlesa
