Memories of Brock

First and foremost I will always remember all the good times we had on Canyon Cres, when I used to visit my aunt, uncle and cousin and we would play pokemon cards, swim in your pool, play video games, or just play outside on the street. Secondly, I will always remember hearing that when you first came to Bateman that you gave your parents a tour of the school and showed them where my locker was; so flattered, thought it was so cute! <3 Third of all, I remember seeing you at this Halloween party in the orchard that we both ended up at in high school and being so happy to see you! Lastly, I was very privileged to act as a mentor to you, someone whom you asked advice from, talked to about things you felt you couldn't with others and seemed to turned to when you needed help. Going back through private facebook messages today, i was blessed to see all the things we had chatted about and the guidance I provided for you. One message that brought tears to my eyes was reading "feels good to talk about this cz i cant w ppl at my skewl", made me feel special even though the conversation seemed insignificant. We had plenty of chats: about the girls he liked, his "new truck", his trip to Punta Cana, advice about post secondary, telling me he was "infactuated" by this girl, chats about how "grown up" Bradley is becoming, talking about how I was dropping my feminist english course and Brock advising me to "be a chauvinist" instead, chats about his girlfriend, being so excited that he accepted Brock University, chats about Brocku problems! All of these quick conversations we had here and there were memorable and added depth to our friendship! I will cherish them and remember you; the amazing, funny, kind-hearted, intelligent YOU, forever and always! <3 lots of love, Jess
