Michelangelo Raia – September 26th 1947 – September 25th 2012 An Honour to our Nonno Mike; On Tuesday morning, something heartbreaking happened. It was devastating. Our Nonno Mike passed away. He lived for 68 years & 364 days. He passed away one day before his 69th birthday. I can honestly say that walking into the hospital room and seeing our Nonno Mike laying there peacefully, had to have been the hardest thing ever. Seeing him lying there breathless and not hugging me back was tough. It made us all feel so empty inside. We couldn’t let go. Being the oldest grandchild, I feel that it is my job to try and be strong for my younger cousins. I promise to keep all the best memories alive, and share them to everyone that knew Nonno Mike. Michelangelo Raia was the most amazing man you could have ever known. He has touched so many hearts. He was a great… Son, Brother, Husband, Father, Uncle, Godfather, Nonno, Friend and Chef, to many people who will miss him dearly. We will cherish all the good times we had with you, and keep your Legacy going. We thank you for making us laugh by pulling silly pranks and telling funny jokes. You were always the life of the party. Nonno Mike, We know you tried your strongest to survive, because you loved us and cared for us. Now, we know that you will always be watching over us. Through good times and tough times, we know you will be with us in spirit. May God bless you in the kingdom of heaven and may you rest in peace. We thank everyone today who is with us and for those who are here in spirit. Thank You for your love and support in this difficult time. “Remember, …… Live Life to the Fullest.”
