Don Smith has been active in a host of city civic, service, health and athletic organizations, and served as Chairman of the Board of Funeral Services for the Province of Ontario, and is a founding member of the Burlington Bereavement Resource Council.

  • First Canadian Funeral Home to be Certified by the Green Burial Council in 2009
  • Chamber of Commerce Business Achievement Award - Service in 2000
  • Chamber of Commerce “Company of the Year Award” in 2000
  • Mayor's Community Service Award in 1997
  • First Canadian Funeral Home to receive the Pursuit of Excellence Award from the United States National Funeral Directors Association in 1989
